If You aren't sure what a Certified College Planning Specialist Does- Well we're here to tell you!
A Certified College Planning Specialist (CCPS) is a financial professional who helps families prepare for the costs of college. These experts are able to help fill out important financial forms along with provide insight on 529 Plans.
Here's 3 Reasons Why Someone Would Choose to Work with a CCPS!
Experienced
Whether this is your first kid or your 10th, the college planning process isn't easy! Despite what all the FAFSA sites and NYS TAP resources around the internet, Google just doesn't have the answers that students and families really need. You can turn to your guidance counselor, but they are busy with about 50-300 other kids futures. You can turn to the school dept, and probably wait a while or end up with no answers.
Because we've been doing this for so long, we have the answers you're looking for. We have been involved in college planning for years, and we've seen it all. If you are going to college, it's best to work with a CCPS because they have the experience to ensure the best results possible.
Results Based
Not every CCPS is the same. To become a certified college planning specialist there are hoops to jump through and continuing education that helps college planning specialists understand the best foot forward for any family. Beyond a keen understanding of the college planning process, a seasoned CCPS can dig to find the right answers from the right people to ensure you plan for college in the most responsible, results-based fashion.
Relationship Based
Over the years, we have established close relationships with many of the localized colleges and departments around Western New York. Working with a trusted CCPS means you don't only have the right person for the job, but they also know A LOT of people that you simply just won't. Having strong, trustworthy relationships with many of the individuals that students and families rely on for financial aid can help get you a leg up on your competition.
